Meet our main riding instructor, Ms. Dalton Bell! This young lady has quite the
accomplishments in the show ring, and in the training field.
Dalton has trained and schooled with  an international Show Jumper and top level Dressage

Top 10 in the nation with our Welsh stallion,
Rudy, in 2012 in hunter over fences

Grand Champion in her age division at the North Carolina State Fair in 2012 & 2013 on Youth
weekend with over 780 entries!

Dalton also has the background and training from her mom's years of study with John Lyons,
Dave Seay and Ray Hunt. She has traveled with her mom to various horse shows while mom
was judging, literally learning the judge's point of view.

The most important attribute that Dalton brings to our lesson and training program is her
unique ability to communicate with the rider and horse so that both benefit!
Her students are happy and our lesson program has grown tremendously under her
Dartland Farms was established in 1984 by Melanie and Dart Bell.
Melanie and her daughters, Mariah  Bell Narup and Dalton Bell have been instrumental in training
and showing for several farms and numerous individuals including:

Today we offer the same quality service from start to finish  with the horsemanship influence of
John Lyons and technical expertise from over 35 years of riding and showing in many different
breeds, disciplines and venues.
Melanie also has been an open horse show judge for over
20 years and attended numerous
judging clinics in Dallas, Texas and Raleigh, North Carolina.
